TimeTool

TimeTool privacy

Updated 10 October 2026. This notice covers the free TimeTool 1.0 app for iPhone and Apple Watch and support correspondence. Website storage is described separately below.

Local app data

TimeTool stores timer names and durations, presets, countdowns, settings and time calculations on your devices. The app and widgets share selected data through an Apple app group. No TimeTool account or developer cloud service is used. I cannot access this local app data.

Paired devices and system features

Timer information is exchanged between the paired iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple WatchConnectivity. Notifications, system alarms, widgets and Live Activities use Apple’s system services and the permissions you choose. Saved timer presets can be made available to Apple App Intents and Shortcuts. These features do not send timer data to a Kampmann Studio server in the reviewed code.

No tracking or in-app purchases

TimeTool 1.0 has no advertising, analytics or developer telemetry and does not send app data to a developer server. Version 1.0 has no in-app purchases or subscription. Apple’s App Store, diagnostics and device backup services follow Apple’s policies and your settings.

Removing data and changing permissions

Remove saved items using the controls provided in the app. Deleting TimeTool from your devices removes its installation data; offloading an app is different and can retain data. Data on the paired device, shared containers or device backups may remain subject to Apple’s storage and backup behaviour. Change notification and alarm permissions in system settings.

Responsible person and support email

Martin Daa Kampmann, Kampmann Studio, Denmark, is responsible for support correspondence. Contact: martin@kampmannstudio.com. If you email me, I process your email address, message and any attachments to respond and follow up. Providing this information is voluntary; without a contact address I cannot reply. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in providing support (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Support correspondence is deleted no later than one year after the case is closed. Email is handled by Simply.com A/S, Denmark, and its service providers for mail operation, backup and secure disposal. Simply.com publishes its subprocessors on its compliance page; the current list names providers in Denmark and the EU. Support mail is currently read only at Simply. Deletion covers the active mailbox and my working copies; Simply’s security appendix states that email backups are normally retained for 30 days after deletion.

Your rights concerning support correspondence

You can contact the address above to request access, correction, deletion or restriction of personal data held in support correspondence, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights depend on the applicable conditions; data portability applies where legally applicable. You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency. Kampmann Studio cannot access or delete timer data held only on your devices.
